How RecallPath writes and checks facts

We do not sell supplements. We do not take money from brands. We read the studies first. Then we write.

Written and fact-checked by RecallPath Editorial Team. Last updated: .

What we cover

RecallPath publishes guides on brain health, memory supplements, focus and nootropics. Every guide starts with published human studies. We ignore press releases, brand claims and marketing copy.

We do not cover prescription drugs. We do not diagnose. We do not give personal medical advice.

How we research

Each guide follows the same steps.

  • We search PubMed, Cochrane and examine.com for human RCTs on the ingredient.
  • We check the dose used in the trial against the dose on the bottle label.
  • We note the study population. A trial on adults with mild cognitive impairment is not the same as a trial on healthy young adults.
  • We read the NIH Office of Dietary Supplements fact sheet for safety data and upper limits.
  • We flag conflicts of interest in the studies. Industry-funded trials get extra scrutiny.

If a claim has no human evidence, we say so. If the evidence is weak, we say weak. We do not upgrade “may improve” to “proven to work.”

How we write

Short sentences. No fluff. Every paragraph must contain a fact, a dose or a warning.

We name the ingredient in every section. We do not write “this supplement.” We write bacopa monnieri, citicoline, phosphatidylserine.

We use bullet points for key data. We use tables for dose comparisons. We do not use pros-and-cons lists. We state the verdict in plain text.

Conflict of interest

RecallPath does not accept sponsorship from supplement brands. We do not accept free products for review. We do not use affiliate links in our editorial content.

Our monetization runs through a Cloudflare Worker. It does not appear in the HTML of our guides. It does not influence what we write.

Disclosure: Some links on this site earn us a commission if you buy through them. It costs you nothing extra. It does not change what we write. This notice lives in the footer of every page.

Update policy

We review every active guide every 30 days. We update the dateModified field in our schema and the visible badge on the page.

We update sooner if a new RCT changes the evidence. We update if a reader reports a factual error. See our Corrections Policy for the process.

We do not delete old guides. We add an update note at the top if the evidence has shifted.

Who writes

RecallPath Editorial Team is a group of researchers and writers. We read studies. We check labels. We write in plain English.

We are not doctors. We are not pharmacists. We do not claim medical credentials we do not hold. Every page carries the badge: Written and fact-checked by RecallPath Editorial Team.

If you need medical advice, talk to your doctor. Bring the supplement label. Show them the studies we cite.

Common questions

Are your writers doctors?

No. We are researchers who read published studies. We do not diagnose. We do not prescribe.

Do brands pay for placement?

No. We do not accept sponsorship. We do not take free products. Our revenue comes from a backend overlay, not from editorial content.

How do you choose which supplements to review?

We follow search demand and research volume. If readers ask about an ingredient and human trials exist, we cover it. We do not cover ingredients with zero human data.

What happens if you get a fact wrong?

We fix it. We log the correction. We update the page date. See the Corrections Policy for the full process.

Can I suggest a topic?

Yes. Email us at [email protected]. We read every message. We add suggestions to our content queue if the evidence supports it.
